Green Country FCU’s Heather Craig Earns Nomination for Ruthe Harp Chamber Volunteer of the Year Award

Coweta, OK | November 2025 – Green Country Federal Credit Union proudly announces that Heather Craig, Coweta Branch Manager, earned a nomination for the Ruthe Harp Chamber Volunteer of the Year Award from the Coweta Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber created this award to honor volunteers who go above and beyond to support local businesses and strengthen the community. Heather’s nomination recognizes her tireless commitment to serving others and her passion for helping Coweta grow and thrive.

Since Green Country FCU joined the Coweta Chamber in 2021, Heather has jumped in at every opportunity to help. She greets golfers at the Chamber tournament, monitors the course for hole-in-one contests, sells tickets at the Coweta Fall Festival, coordinates parade lineup, and helps plan and execute the Chamber Awards Banquet from start to finish.

“Heather’s energy and heart for service shine through in everything she does,” said Cassie Mangold, Chief Operations Officer at Green Country FCU. “She rolls up her sleeves, jumps in wherever she’s needed, and makes sure everyone around her feels supported. We’re proud to have her representing Green Country.”

Heather doesn’t stop there—she also represents Green Country FCU at major community events like the Wagoner County Emergency Preparedness Expo and Coweta Fall Festival, connecting with residents and local businesses while promoting safety and community spirit.

“Community involvement drives everything we do at Green Country,” said Brandon Grell, President and CEO. “Heather brings that value to life every day. She’s not just a great employee—she’s an outstanding ambassador for what we stand for: people helping people.”

The Ruthe Harp Volunteer of the Year Award celebrates individuals who dedicate their time, energy, and leadership to Chamber programs and committees. Heather joins three other nominees who share a commitment to making Coweta a better place to live and work.

“One of the strongest cornerstones to the foundation of our organization is a dedicated group of volunteers who step up to help whenever needed,” said Coweta Chamber Director Christy Wheeland. “We are proud that Heather’s positive attitude and willingness to serve have been duly noted by others to nominate her for this prestigious honor.”

The Coweta Chamber will announce the award winner at the Annual Chamber Awards Banquet on November 20th, where the community gathers to honor volunteers who make Coweta strong. Regardless of the results, Green Country FCU proudly celebrates Heather’s well-earned recognition and the difference she continues to make every day.
