Green Country FCU & First Oklahoma FCU Merging!
We’re joining forces to bring you more branches, more services, and the same local, friendly service you count on.
We’re excited to share that First Oklahoma FCU and Green Country FCU are officially merging. First Oklahoma members have approved the merger, and we’re moving forward together.
For Green Country members, nothing changes right now — and that’s by design.
Your accounts, loans, rates, cards, online banking, and branch access all stay the same. You’ll continue seeing the same familiar faces and getting the local, personal service you expect. There’s nothing you need to do.
Behind the scenes, this merger strengthens Green Country. It gives us more scale, more stability, and more opportunity to invest thoughtfully in the future — whether that’s technology, services, or long-term growth — without rushing changes or disrupting your day-to-day banking.
The legal merger takes place April 1. Member-facing system updates for First Oklahoma will come later in 2026, and we’ll communicate clearly and early before anything changes.
We’re proud of this step and excited about what it allows us to build over time. As always, we’ll keep members informed as we grow — carefully, locally, and with people first.

Denver Branch Relocating
We want to share an important update regarding the First Oklahoma FCU branch on Denver Avenue in Tulsa.
After careful review—and with the safety of our members and employees, as well as the long-term financial strength of the credit union in mind—we have made the decision to close the Denver Avenue branch located at 1419 S. Denver Ave.
This closure will be effective Saturday, February 28, 2026.
This location has experienced ongoing safety and security challenges that have made it difficult to provide the comfortable, secure experience our members and employees expect and deserve.
The good news: we’re not leaving Tulsa.
We are working on a new Tulsa branch, targeted to open early Spring 2026. This new location will allow us to better serve you in a safer, more accessible setting.
You can continue to bank with us during this transition through:
- Green Country FCU branches or First Oklahoma FCU Glenpool branch
- Shared branching locations throughout the Tulsa area (https://bit.ly/SharedBranch)
- Mobile and online banking
- 24/7 Voice Banking (800-403-5901)
- Our call center and remote support team (918) 582-1965
We truly appreciate your understanding and patience as we take this step to better serve you long term. We look forward to welcoming you to our new Tulsa branch soon.
Why We’re Merging
First Oklahoma FCU has proudly served working Oklahomans for more than 100 years. By partnering with Green Country FCU, we believe we can provide our members with more services, more convenience, and more long-term support—while keeping the same honest, people-first approach that has always defined this credit union.
Together, the combined credit union would serve members across seven counties in Northeast Oklahoma, with a focus on everyday working families and the small businesses that make our communities strong.
