GCFCU has partnered with Stakeholder Partnerships, Education and Communication (SPEC). SPEC is the outreach and education function of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Wage and Investment Division which serves low to moderate income taxpayers, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities, those with limited English proficiency and Native Americans. SPEC is widely known for oversight of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs, which offer free tax return preparation and outreach to our members as tax-payers. SPEC started offering Facilitated Self-Assistance (FSA) as an initiative to give taxpayers another option to e-file their state and federal returns for FREE if your 2014 adjusted gross income is $60,000 or less and if your 2013 adjusted gross income is $58,000 or less. If you have any questions you can call a certified tax coach using the toll free number (1-855-698-9435) or email address provided (firstname.lastname@example.org).
